Engaging in team sports, especially for children and young adults, fosters lifelong friendships, builds confidence, and promotes overall health through enjoyable activities.
Through our partnership with the Raiders, we aim to educate and inspire students about the mental and physical benefits of engaging in competitive team sports like Basketball.
The Plymouth Raiders have created a new pathway program in collaboration with City College Plymouth aimed at nurturing local talent for the National League. They have rebranded the college team and are currently renovating the gym to establish a new basketball hub within the city.
At present, 12 players from City College, under the guidance of Coach George Hatchell, compete in the regional college league. Some of these players have been invited to train with the Raiders' first team squad during the summer.
The ambition is to expand this partnership from September onward and develop a dedicated talent pool of future Raiders players.
